FIXIF Crate-Series
Hard Coolers
One-piece rotomolded shells. Multi-day ice. Six-year warranty.
A hard cooler is a long-term purchase. The shell, the insulation thickness, the gasket and the hardware decide whether it holds ice for two days or six — and whether it survives five seasons or fifteen. FIXIF hard coolers are rotomolded in one seamless piece, insulated with pressure-injected polyurethane and built around the FIXIF™ Magnetic System so the crate mounts where you need it.
What makes a hard cooler good
Seamless shell. Rotomolding produces a single closed piece of polyethylene with no welds or joints — the places where cheaper coolers crack and leak cold.
Insulation thickness. FIXIF walls and lid are filled with pressure-injected polyurethane foam. Thickness beats marketing claims every time; it is the single largest driver of ice retention.
Gasket and latches. A full-perimeter freezer gasket plus FIXLOCK™ aluminium buckles keeps the cold in. Aluminium does not perish in UV or go brittle in cold the way rubber T-latches do.
Ice retention by size
Pod 24 (24 L): 3–5 days under moderate conditions. Day trips, boats, the passenger footwell.
Crate 36 (36 L): 4–6 days. The default size for two people over a long weekend.
Trunk 51 (51 L): 5–8 days. Families, groups, week-long trips and basecamp.
More than cold storage
FIXSEAT™ lid height means the crate is a bench. FIXWATER™ certification means it holds drinking water when the ice is gone. FIXMODULAR™ chambers accept accessories without tools. The magnetic base plate locks it to a deck, a van floor or a boot — and releases it in one motion.
Questions
Hard cooler or soft cooler?
A soft cooler wins on weight and packability for a single day. A hard cooler wins on everything measured in days: ice retention, structural protection for food, and the ability to sit, stand or mount on it.
How heavy is a rotomolded hard cooler?
Thick insulation adds weight — that is the trade-off for multi-day ice. The Pod 24 is comfortably one-hand portable; the Crate 36 and Trunk 51 are two-handle carries when loaded, or one-hand with the mobility cart.
Is the warranty really six years?
Yes — six years on the crate body and hardware against manufacturing and structural defects.
